Scot grew up in the industry. Starting at a young age, Scot worked for his father’s crude oil gathering company as a mechanic in the garage, learning every aspect of the crude oil marketing and transportation business. This experience carried him to Big Tex Crude Oil in 1985 where he started as a truck driver and was quickly promoted to head of operations, a position he held for 15 years. 

When the owners of Big Tex opted to sell in 2006, Scot decided to go out on his own and has since grown TransOil Marketing into what it is today.  He oversees the operational, financial, and marketing aspects of TransOil.
